Eliza grew up with two of England's finest artists: her parents Norma Waterson and Martin Carthy.
Her first appearance at the Festival was in their company, and there is a legend that this had some influence on her decision to follow the musical dream as a way of life.
She plays an amazing fiddle, among many other instruments and sings with a confidence that really shows that she did grow up as far inside the tradition as one can.
