24th Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival
Laio with Edelmiro Fernandez - Galcia, Spain

Laio was formed five years ago by six young musicians who wanted to put their own spin on the ancient musical traditions of Galcia, Spain.

Their music is based deep in the traditions, but in recent years they have added their own funky groove to it.

Appearing with Laio at the Festival is Edelmiro Fernandez on Galcian pipes; he is considered to be the finest young piper in Spain today.
